Figure 1.Low- (A) and high-power (B) views of hematoxylin-eosin?stained section of the uterine leiomyoma. Notice the interlacing bundles of spindle cells with no nuclear atypia. The tumor had areas of necrosis and hemorrhage, as well as focally increased cellularity, but mitotic counts ranged between 0 and 2 per 10 high-power fields.
